The Darr Family

HISTORY
The history of the Darr Family Foundation begins in 1978 with the creation of American Dehydrated Foods, Inc. (ADF).  The success of ADF in the animal feed ingredients business led to the founding of International Dehydrated Foods, Inc. (IDF) in 1982 and Food Ingredients Technology Company, LLC (FITCO) in 1990.  The growth and profitability of these operating companies provides the capital for the philanthropic activities of William H. Darr and his family.  The generosity of Mr. Darr and his family reflects their commitment to lead by example in the areas of community support and development.  The Foundation was formed in 2002 and is primarily funded by family members.

The vision of the Darr Family Foundation is improved community vitality through the active and productive involvement of all citizens.

MISSION
The mission of the Darr Family Foundation is to find and support organizations delivering effective services that assist individuals in reaching their potential, especially young persons and those from disadvantaged circumstances.
