William H. (Bill) Darr has a long and passionate history of helping those in need of direction and support for achieving life’s goals and ambitions. To perpetuate his dedication to providing support for those in need, he and his family created the Darr Family Foundation (DFF) in 2002. It is the mission of the Darr Family Foundation “to find and support organizations delivering effective services that assist individuals in reaching their potential, especially young persons and those from disadvantaged circumstances.” Our grant-making strategy since inception has been to focus on those objectives.
Bill’s business success with American Dehydrated Foods, Inc. (ADF) and International Dehydrated Foods, Inc. (IDF) helped provide capital for the creation of the Foundation. With concern and interest for the future of communities that host one of the operating locations for these companies, our geographic preference for grant-making includes those cities and towns, as well as organizations based in Southwest Missouri. We invite you to review the criteria outlined in our information section to determine the qualification of your organization.
We employ a two stage process in our grant-making cycle. Be sure to familiarize yourself with the submission deadline for concept letters. We thank you for visiting our website and look forward to hearing from you soon.
